What This Service Helps With

A DOT medical exam is used to evaluate whether a driver meets the physical qualification standards for operating a commercial motor vehicle.
The exam is completed by a medical examiner who is listed on the FMCSA National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.

If the driver is determined to be physically qualified, the medical examiner may issue a Medical Examiner’s Certificate, also known as
Form MCSA-5876. Drivers often refer to this certificate as a DOT medical card.
